Established as a company in 1988, Merlin Design Services Ltd has diversified from being a manual drafting board engineering service to fully embracing the Computer Aided Design & Drafting technologies available.
Our first contract was with a firm called Impactex, with which we helped develop a secure parcel drop off unit for The Post Office in the UK, and the glazing used for the control tower at Faslane Submarine Base.
Since then we have been involved in rolling stock design and development (new and refurbishment), orthopaedic implants, and tooling (Depuy Intl), weapons Systems (VDSL).
Auditorium equipment (Audience systems), and Motorhome and Caravan design (Swift).
This diverse clientele has given a broad spectrum of experience, but we are always guided by the client’s expertise and inhouse engineers.
Since 2015 we have been utilised in the creation of new Train stations used by London Underground (Northern Line Extension), which has led us in the world of BIM.
